I am an astronomer who studies distant galaxies. I am particularly interested in figuring out how the components of a galaxy, such as its star clusters and individual stars, influence and shape the evolution of that galaxy. To see these small components of distant galaxies, I rely on a phenomenon called gravitational lensing, wherein the gravity of a massive object in the foreground magnifies an object in the background. This lets us observe star clusters and even individual stars in distant galaxies. You can read more about my research here!
